I was so busy clicking my camera and didn’t even get the name of this fish (silly me). If anyone of you have an idea please do let me know the name of it.
I saw him resting on the grass of Nuwara Eliya Gregory Lake. He looked so pensive and sad. I wonder what makes him like that.
Its aggression and hunger for everything what moves in the water are well known facts. They are shown as cruel and merciless beasts in the TV. So why do people keep them? Aren’t such people only criminals who drop their victims into the tank with Piranhas in order to hide their crime? Not everyone knows that Piranhas bite only if they are hungry, or something bleeds in their aquarium.[www.aqua-fish.net]
The Iguana tends to have tall, flat plates jutting from their back like spines, when adult. Green iguanas, not surprisingly, are green in color, but can be found in many different shade ranging from bright green, to a dull, grayish-green. Their skin is rough, with a set of pointy scales along the iguana's back. Green iguanas have long fingers and claws to help them climb and grasp. [www.lizards.com]
Of course folks these birds can fly, but not that far as they would like too I should say. :)
“Al Ain Zoo” is one of the best places I have visited here in UAE so far. It’s huge, looks brand new (even though it was built in the late 60’s); looks so tidy and clean as well.
But “ME” being stupid as always went there without fully charging the batteries of my camera. No need to tell you what has happened after isn’t it?. I must go there again at least before the winter ends.
Well nothing much to say I’m the big uncle of 3 nieces and 4 nephews :). What do you think? Aren’t they adorable ?????

A Sri Lankan farmer working hard to prepare a paddy field for the next harvest.
I’m so glad to post shots that I took while I was on my vacation back home in Sri Lanka. Hope you all like to see more about my beautiful country.
