[Sri Lankan Kangaroo Lizard/Pinum Katussa(Otocryptis weigmanni) - Female]
Some are very curious about the intruders who come and go into their home land. Looks like she is looking at this handsome guy
who is walking towards her ;)
Welcome to the photo series of Sinharaja Rain Forest Through My Lens.

Friend, you'd work for the National Geographic Magazine. :-)
ReplyDeleteGuess you have taken it from the ground level, which makes the angle very nice.
ReplyDeleteI usually like pictures of lizards in forests shot in the night. The dark background makes them look very attractive.
o my!what a pic!!
ReplyDeletethe expression on her face doesnt seem like she's seeing a 'handsome' guy ;-)
wow! love the pinkish tone of the pic...
ReplyDeleteseems like you've got one of those critter indexes too.. :D
And a she-lizards idea of handsomeness is a lizard like creature (sorry, but you asked for it!)
Wow, Great composition. I really like the lighting also. Super macro work.
ReplyDeleteStill stuck in the garden? :P We'll meet up soon :)
Cheers!
@paresh;
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. National Geographic’s and me? lol …. Thanks for the compliment =:D
@sachira;
Thanks for the comment.
Personally I like to photograph in natural light. But yes, if I get a chance to snap at night ill definitely give it a try and see the results. :)
@md and silent;
Exactly as I expected! … lol
Let me give you a lil hint about the guy ;). I’m not talking about the “handsome” guy that you both are referring too. =:D hehe
No silent, I don’t have a critter index yet. But I was lucky enough to travel Sinharaja with 5 of very professional wildlife enthusiastic friends. So I got the names of these critters from them.
** Thank you both for your interesting comments … =:D
@me-shak;
Thanks for your comment mate.
Weather was so unpredictable that day and sometimes light got changed between two clicks. It was a great experience for me to work with damp weather and taking snaps while donating blood to my leech friends. =:D
Now I’m stuck in Sinharaja ;) yeah sure will meet up soon :)
Wow.. Sinharaja!!! Can't waitta see all the pics.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's a cool pose for a lil lizard. Reminds me of T-Rex, an unusually slim one, in miniature. =D
Thanks Harumi,
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying the series by now :D
