Frieda, I found this friend at Kandalama Eco Park. So I had the luxury to get bit closer than in the wild :)
Blue Lotus, Nop! I’m not scared of snakes at all :D
Harshi, Yes! That’s what people think :) But the truth is they are (Naga papilla and Le mapila) not the most venomous snakes that you find in Sri Lanka. In fact they not venomous at all :D
The Wildlife of Sri Lanka includes its flora and fauna and their natural habitats. Sri Lanka has one of the highest rates of biological endemism (16% of the fauna and 23% of flowering plants are endemic) in the world.
"Walk in Paradise" is dedicated to showcase the beauty of the Sri Lankan wildlife and it habitats.
What a fantastic capture1 how did you get so close to the snake??
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty! Aren't you scared of snakes?
ReplyDeleteWow... that's a stunning shot! Isn't this one of the most venomous snakes in Lanka?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments everyone!
